By booking Portray Your Story, you are agreeing to the following terms. These exist to keep things clear, fair, and respectful for everyone involved.

Booking & payment

A booking is confirmed once a signed agreement and any required payment have been received. Payment terms will be clearly outlined before we begin.

Cancellations & rescheduling

Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible. Cancellation terms depend on the type of project and will be outlined in your booking agreement. 

Turnaround times

Delivery times vary depending on the scale of the project. I’ll always confirm timelines in advance and communicate clearly if anything changes. I’m very used to working to deadlines, especially for campaigns or time-sensitive projects.

Creative approach

You are booking me for my documentary, story-led style. While I welcome collaboration and feedback, final creative decisions (including editing style and image selection) remain with me unless otherwise agreed.

Copyright & image use

Copyright remains with Portray Your Story. Clients receive a licence to use images or films as agreed in their contract. Any additional usage (such as commercial advertising or third-party licensing) must be agreed separately.

Your responsibility

You confirm that you have permission for filming or photography to take place at the chosen location and that participants have been informed where appropriate.

Limitation of liability

Every care is taken to deliver your images safely and professionally. In the unlikely event of circumstances beyond my control (illness, equipment failure, force majeure), liability is limited to the value of the booking.

Respect & safety

I work in a respectful, non-judgemental way and expect the same in return. I reserve the right to end a session if anyone feels unsafe or disrespected.
